Mr. William Beaufort "Billy" Crider, age 58, of Zoneton returned to his Heavenly Father on July 18, 2013. Mr. Crider retired from Colgate after 32 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Crider was a member of Zoneton Masonic Lodge #964, Scottish Rites, Eastern Star 576, Bullitt County Shrine, Louisville Lead Car Club and Travelers Widows and Sons. He was a Kosair Shriner and a priest of St. Mary Magdalen Independent Catholic Church. Among those that preceded him in death include his parents, Bill and Erma Crider. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 8 years, Cindy Crider; daughters, Virginia and Linsey Crider; dad #2 to Trina Mattingly and Christopher Mattingly (Leslie); grandchildren, Dallas Gentner and Cash Mattingly; brother, Steve Crider (Kathy); and sister, Peggy Lou Stricker (Loren).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalen Independent Catholic Church (9104 Westport Road Louisville, KY) with interment in Brookland Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 12-8 pm and after 9 am Tuesday at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road).
