Mrs. Maebelle Roby, 90, of Brooks was born June 3, 1924 in Bullitt County, Kentucky and returned to her Heavenly Father surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
Mrs. Roby was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed gardening, sewing and the home shopping network.
Among those who preceded her in death include her husband, Thomas J. Roby; son, Larry Roby; parents, Henry T. and Lydia Pearl Stanfield Ferguson; siblings, William, Clarence, Roy and Ernie Ferguson, Nannie Waters, Hettie Shinkle, Ruby Crigler, Flora Lee Ferguson and Eva Sherley.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Linda Ballback (Patrick) and Debbie Horn (Ray); grandchildren, Ronnie Hicks (Michelle), Jason Horn (Heather) and Lori Burns (Brad); great grandchildren, Jason, Haley, Breanna, Tabitha and William; great-great grandchildren, AeroBella and Damon; her poodle, Cricket and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd; use John Harper entrance) with burial in Ferguson Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the Bullitt County Humane Society.
