James G. Rafferty Sr. age 75 was born August 29, 1939 to the late Colosky Carter and Lennie Goodin Rafferty and returned to his Heavenly Father March 22, 2015. Mr. Rafferty was the owner/operator of Rafferty Auto Body Shop, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Among those who preceded him in death include his parents; brother, Eddie Rafferty; son-in-law, Ben Fowler.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Letha Hazelwood Rafferty; daughter, Karen L. Fowler; sons, James G. Rafferty Jr. (Tammy) and Terry Carter Rafferty; sisters, Anna Jean Forde and Alice Settles; brothers, Harold and Russell Rafferty; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 12 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks (Preston Highway at Brooks Road and use John Harper entrance) with interment in Palestine Church Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects from 12 P.M until 8 P.M. Sunday and from 9 A.M. until 12 P.M. Monday at Schoppenhorst.
