Adams, David Aaron, age 71 of Brooks returned to his Heavenly Father November 25, 2016 at Norton Hospital Downtown.
David was born August 10, 1945 in Louisville to Raymond and Ethel Adams. He was proud to have boxed with the Mayers youth program and having the opportunity to box for golden gloves. He graduated from Durrett High School in 1964. After servicing 6 years in the Navy and working at Naval Ordinance he went on to pursue a career in contracting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Nicholas Cade McCann Adams. Mr. Adams leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 21 years Shirley Kohne-Adams; children, Davette Cassidy (David), Rayna Curtsinger (Damian), Carissa Johnson (Terry), David Aaron Adams Jr. (Jennifer), Elizabeth Greene, Chad Fields; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Sailor, John; sisters, Starla, Darice, Veeda, and Dayna. Funeral of Christian Mass will be 10 Friday, December 2, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church (3926 Poplar Level Rd) with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, December 1, 2016 between Noon - 8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy and Brooks Rd). www.subfuneralhome.com
